First Name Basis was established in 2023 with a mission to make mental health support accessible and affordable for children and adolescents in need. Our dedicated board of directors is working collaboratively to create strong partnerships with local organizations and a network of committed therapists. We hope to make a significant impact on the lives of countless young individuals by providing tailored therapeutic services. As we continue to grow and raise awareness about the importance of mental health, First Name Basis remains devoted to our core values of empathy, integrity, and empowerment, striving to make a difference in our community and beyond.

Hi, I'm Alex Negron, the Head of the Board at First Name Basis. My interests range from video games to globetrotting, but most importantly, I love building strong connections with people. With these experiences under my belt, I lead our team with creativity, open-mindedness, and a strong sense of community. Hi! My name is Madisen. I am currently a student in high school where I am the founder and president of an Asian Student Association and a member of the yearbook staff. I love to be outdoors and camp with my family. I rock climb, make jewelry, and do photography in my free time, along with supporting my peers in a time of need. My mom is a mental health counselor, so mental health awareness has always been a big part of my life. I strive to bring joy into people's lives and help show them that life isn't all that bad.

Hi! I'm Taylor, a high school student who has always felt that mental health is incredibly important and under-prioritized. I run a quote of the day email subscription (taylorjeanequotes.com) with the goal of giving people daily motivation and inspiring others. I'm also an avid musician playing the piano and violin and am working towards making music my career one day! I love classical music and am an active member of my school's orchestra. I thoroughly enjoy playing in my school's musical pit orchestras and am the concertmaster of both our orchestra class and string ensemble club.

I have always been passionate about outreach to children as I have been working and volunteering at my church to teach expansive lessons to young children.
